New Year’s Resolutions

Hello all, and a Happy New Year!

It’s finally 2016, and we are all another year wiser. I’m excited for this year because I believe this is going to be the year of big things. Now that I’ve graduated from college and held on to my first big-girl job, I finally feel like I have a handle on life.

I’m kidding.

But I’d like to think I do have everything under control. And for that, I created this blog post. To be honest, I don’t actually believe in new year’s resolutions. I’m one of those people that believes if you want to change something in your life, then do it now. HOWEVER, I decided to try something new this year. I thought, Maybe setting a time and date on my goals might actually help me stay motivated and organized!

In this post, I’m going to review six general categories that I believe should be on everyone’s resolutions list. Feel free to take ideas from this list or pass this along to your friends. Get inspired!

Physical health
Anything to do with hygiene, exercise or dieting.

Mental health
Reading, meditation, entertainment, family time and keeping up with news/current events.

Spirituality
Explore a new religion or get re-accustomed to a religion you’re already familiar with. For those who aren’t religious, tap into your inner being and take time to learn more about your body and your emotions.

Staying active
Volunteering, taking dance classes, learning a new musical instrument, blogging, taking up a new language, etc.

Finances
Get a savings account and save, save, save. Limit useless spending.

Do for yourself
Indulge in yourself from time to time. Take yourself shopping. Treat yourself to a movie. Buy yourself a nice dinner. Invest in a diary or journal. Go out and spend more time with your friends.

Now it’s your turn! What are some of your New Year’s Resolutions? Can you think of something that I should add to this list? Leave a comment below.

Thanks for reading! 🙂
